Cosy Bay in Cape Town is situated just below the stunning Twelve Apostles mountain range on the way to Hout Bay in Cape Town. A small hidden little cove that one has to climb down to is filled with massive boulders that have over the years rolled down from the mountain sides and formed this beautiful picturesque location. Views of the mountains along with Lion’s Head has made this spot a favourite for many of us Cape Town Photographers.
I love natural lighting and this magical home with it’s rustic white walls, wooden floors and door frames, minimalistic furniture was just the place that makes this guy really happy and excited to shoot in. Mel and Jonty, being as relaxed and welcoming as they are were only to happy to let me direct them and their family to capture the images you see in this post.
So every now and then I get a really funky young couple to shoot. Daniella and Jared Bee just so happen to be pregnant and yes indeed, they are a funky couple. So with a little planning and about and hour and a half of their time I managed to capture some really fun and arty images that will be a lasting memory for this lovely couple. And of course a story to tell for their little one, still snuggling warmly inside of mommy’s tummy.
We will spend the evening walking through the vibrant Woodstock area taking in graffiti, buildings, train lines and the amazing backdrop of Table Mountain and Lions Head.
Every time the Lee’s make a trip out to South Africa we have an awesome little session with them.
I had a wonderful shoot with this beautiful family.
Since last year Jaimi and I have been toying with the idea of a huge family portrait of us and the guys (and the cats) for the house. A while back we saw some graphic work by Nic Lewis at a colleagues house. After a few failed attempts at getting a hold of the artist we eventually caught up with him at two weddings last year. At the most recent one Jaimi and I decided we needed to swop skills with the Lewis’.
