Last weekend, Jaimi and I headed for a little get away up the east coast to a stunning little town called Franskraal, just 50 km passed Hermanus. Famous for it shark cage diving, Franskraal is really a place well worth visiting for her seascapes, landscapes, second hand stores and a friendly small town vibe. If it’s a chilled and relaxed time out that you need then this is a must on your map of “town’s to visit”.

Very close to Die Kelders, Gaansbaai, and Hermanus where Whale watching is an international experience, you will find the accommodation in Franskraal limited but inexpensive, especially out of season. A must do adventure is a walk, cycle or drive out to the Danger Point Lighthouse.

This area will definitely be featured on my future travel tours with Pack Your Camera Photographic Tours.
